We're seeing Blue!

We found out on Monday that we will be bringing a baby BOY into our family. I knew all along that I would be having a boy and I would have been shocked and confused if they were to tell me it was a girl. My due date is now Dec. 3rd. Jens and I are so excited to finally know the gender and start planning away. I've gotta find a name for this poor boy. Thanks to my Mother-In-Law for the baby name book that I have been thumbing through on a daily basis. Jens and I can't agree on a name so hopefully by the time he's here we'll have him a name and a "plan B" just in case the first one doesn't fit him.

We wanted to keep the gender a surprise for us and our families until we all got together that night to reveal the big news. Unfortunately, our little nugget was spreading his legs and revealed it all to us, there was no question! But we did get to break the news to our families over a pizza party.

P.S. I'm going very lightly on the pics with me in them for a few reasons. A) I don't feel cute and B) I have no energy and you can see it in every one of the pictures.

My Mom, not knowing the sex, had this cake made. As soon as she found out it was a boy, she crossed out the girl. My mother never fails to think ahead. Thanks Ma!

We all brought pizza (one of my new faves) to pig out on and had pink lemonade and blue Kool-Aid (idea complements of Kar) depending on your guess of the sex. After dinner, I walked around the table asking for the "official" guesses. If you guessed boy, you got an almond joy. If you were guessing girl, you got a mounds bar. Why the Mounds and Almond Joy you ask? It's simple, Almond joys have nuts and Mounds do not.

As you can see below, it looks like "someone" is getting ready to be a Daddy. He spent most of his weekend hanging out with the kids. Either that OR I am a really bad wife when I'm pregnant. Either way, he's getting some practice right?
